Background and Experience

Shawn Chung is the co-founder and core member of Open Quest. He has been certified by International Association of Facilitators (IAF) as a Certified Professional Facilitator | Master (CPF | M), by The Institute of Cultural Affairs (ICA) as a ToP Facilitator (CTopF), trainer and assessor of Technology of Participation (ToP), by Human Synergistics as a Consultant for Organization Culture Inventory (OCI), and by Persolog as a DISC trainer.

Since 2002, Shawn has been a full time organization development consultant and facilitator to work with various organizations and help their organizational and team development.

Shawn is also a trainer and coach of facilitators and facilitative leaders, helping people learn and apply facilitation techniques, methods and processes. He was trained and/or certified in various facilitation technologies, and proficient in using them in the field.

Shawn is enthusiastic in promoting facilitation. He co-translated/proofread professional books into Chinese: Thin Book of Appreciative Inquiry by Sue Annis Hamond, Open Space Technology–A User’s Guide by Harrison Owen, Facilitator’s Guide To Participatory Decision-Making by Sam Kaner, and The Art of Focused Conversation: 100 Ways to Access Group Wisdom in the Workplace by Brian Stanfield.
